Rough is one way to describe it. Three defeats on the spin and play off hopes dwindling. It's not quite turning out to be the season we hoped it would be.
Sadly for Mike Dodds, it was more Doncaster Rovers at home than it was Leeds United at home and a shambolic first 45 gave Sunderland far to much to do at the SOL against Swansea City.
There's plenty apathy but more than a handful of questions to ponder as Brad and Dave join me to go over another Sunderland defeat.

Beale is no more and Doddsy is at the wheel as we welcome the boys from Swansea for a weekend clash at the Stadium Of Light.
Both sides are in a struggle, one needs points to help their flagging play off hopes and the other to steer clear of relegation - while a draw would likely be accepted by both.
The excellent Luke from SwansCast joins me once more to fill me in on their new boss and their recent difficult run of fixtures that has them just four points off relegation.

63 days. That was all it took for the Sunderland hierarcy to realise they had made a terrible mistake and Beale is now more.
We saw it coming, and it came and it tumbled as we stumbled from one error to another - alas, we must move forward with Doddsy in the driving seat.

The concerns that our performances against Stoke City and Plymouth Argyle were a flash in the pan came to fruition. Two defeats on the bounce, Michael Beale under huge pressure once more.
A fairly acceptable first half performance turned into a dire second half one and Sunderland once against returned to Wearside damaged, bruised and ultimately pointless.
We didn't really want to but Brad and Dave join me to run through the weekend's big talking points and take some listeners questions.

Things have changed quite a bit since the two sides last faced off in a 3-1 win for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light earlier in the season.
For a start, Tony Mowbray is in the opposite dugout, Alex Pritchard will be watching in a blue tracksuit rather than a red one and Wayne Rooney will be twiddling his fingers doing nowt because he's no longer there.
One thing has remained the same though, Sunderland's inconsisteny and inability to win away from home. Can we change the record this weekend? Tommy from Blues Focus joins me to let me know.

Whisper it quietly but Michael Beale's Sunderland are starting to look pretty damn good - which is just fantastic!
A bland first half became an excellent second half as the Lads pieced together their best performance under the new head coach since he took charge and long may it continue.

The Lads return to the Wearside this week as we welcome Plymouth Argyle to the Stadium of Light for a lovely Saturday 3pm kick off.
We only met in November but both sides will have new men in the dugout as they clash again, so there's lots of new things to discuss as both team look to continue unbeaten league runs.
The excellent Ben from the Green and White podcast joins me to fill us in on the new manager, the recent good run of form and why Argyle will present a different task for the Lads on Saturday.

Nazzy Rusyn bags, Sunderland grab a late point and it appears to have been a good weekend.
The Tees-Wear clash left a lot of thoughts, both positive and negative, but ultimately there were some positives to take as the little Ukraine nabbed us a deserved share of the spoils.

It was an unexpectedly cracking weekend for Sunderland against Stoke - but will it be a flash in the pan or can we go for two wins on the bounce?
Sunderland's visiting contingent will know it has been a while since we took points at the Riverside, so perhaps it needs to a positive performance for more reasons than one.
