Wednesday Feb 01, 2023
Wednesday Feb 01, 2023
It has been quite a while since we had a Sunderland special - and we went for something a little bit different.
It is short and sweet, but to celebrate Republica playing The Fire Station on Friday 3rd February, we invited lead singer Saffron on the show.
Quite simply the voice of the Stadium of Light, she chats her memories of playing for 40k+ Sunderland fans, why her song Ready To Go still resonates with Mackems and plenty more.

Fulham 1-1 Sunderland | FA Cup Review - What The Falk Podcast
Saturday Jan 28, 2023
Saturday Jan 28, 2023
There were a ton of positives to take from Craven Cottage but one HUGE negative as we drew 1-1 with Fulham.
It will be a replay for the Lads in a couple weeks as we put in a superb display against Marco Silva's side, however, the seemingly season ending injury to Ross Stewart leaves a huge hole in the squad.
Ross and Dave join to discuss the game, that injury and what needs to be done in the transfer market over the next few days of the window.

Sunderland vs Middlesbrough // EFL Championship Preview - What The Falk Podcast
Tuesday Jan 17, 2023
Tuesday Jan 17, 2023
It is finally here, the derby that nobody thinks is a derby derby between Sunderland and Boro.
The Teessiders are bang in form as Michael Carrick and his boys arrive at the Stadium of Light but Sunderland, reeling from last week's 3-1 defeat to Swansea, have shown they are a match for anyone in this league.
Can we finally get one over Boro after not beating them for over a decade? Tom Green (no not that one) from the excellent Boro Breakdown joined us to let us know what we can expect this Sunday at noon.

Sunderland 1-3 Swansea City | EFL Championship Review - What The Falk Podcast
Saturday Jan 14, 2023
Saturday Jan 14, 2023
Well that was really, really annoying.
A bad refereeing performance (and you, linesmen) and a 3-1 defeat is about as a crap as it can get but the lad remain positive as we take a look back at Saturday's afternoon's game at the SOL.
Ross and Dave join to pick apart the bones.

Tuesday Jan 10, 2023
League action will return for the first time since the 26 December as the Swans dive up to Sunderland for a lovely 3pm Saturday afternoon kick off.
They haven't exactly been on fire, but can Swansea still zoom up the league beginning with a win at the SOL on Saturday? Let's hope not.
To let us know exactly what we are in for though is return guest Luke from the excellent SwansCast.
Tune in!

I said I didn't care - but I definitely do now. That was great.
The Aiden O'Brien derby was decided by two very, VERY late goals as Sunderland deservedly moved onto Round Four of the FA Cup after a dominant display in Salop.
Ross, a very merry Dave and Brad joined me to give their thoughts on the win, Chris Rigg and this month's January window.
